I stared at the massive cream-colored building in front of me. My eyes seemed glued to its walls as other people walked past me. Some pushed me, and I heard them mumble and murmur to one another. It seemed like all the other school years I've had, yet different, too.

"Slow down a little would you? We're not late for anything..." Shina grumbled, annoyed with our drivers speeding. I huffed.
"Shina, let her drive. She's fine." I kept my voice low, watching the city pass by in blurs out the window. Miki, our driver and caretaker ever since our move to Japan, furrowed her eyebrows at my sister's words, pulling into a packed parking lot. My eyes squeezed shut, blocking out the images of dozens of people. Darkness engulfed my mind, relaxing my tensing muscles. I met her late spring. She was 7; I was 13. Her pink hair came just to her shoulders, curly and clean. She looked at me, her lemon eyes filled with fear.

“Nathan, dear, this is your new sister, Alyce.” Mother said, urging me forward. Jaquez, my new step father, slapped the back of Alyce's head.
“Say hello.” He muttered as she staggered towards me. I caught her tiny body, her soft skin tingling against mine. She steadied herself, looked up at me, and smiled a smile that could melt hearts.

There are three different Points of View of the story, told by the three main characters: Alyce, Eri, & Kei.
